Reviews-plasma-tv.com concentrates on assisting the consumer in choosing the right Plasma TV for their needs. High definition television is becoming the main stream for entertainment enjoyment. To take advantage of these new technologies, consumers are submitted to televisions with the high definition standard.
There will always be a conflict in choosing between a LCD TV vs. a Plasma TV. The Reviews-Plasma-TV.com rule of thumb is that any screen-size below 37 inches should be a LCD screen, whereas anything above 37 inches should be a plasma screen. To find reviews on LCD screen TVs, please go to our sister site Reviews-lcd-tv.com. Plasma TV's that are over 37 inches - on average - produce a better image quality when watching movies or sports. LCD's that are over 37 inches display noticeable pixilation; when you observe closely to the TV.
As a consumer, you will visit a store and compare the TV's picture. Remember, the store will be showing off their TV in their best format like high definition TV from a high definition box or from movies from a DVD player. Your eyes will not deceive you - pick what you figure is the best and most eye-pleasing picture. Don't be surprised to see a lower quality picture when watching a normal broadcast on the TV. Normal TV broadcast uses a signal with less lines of resolution than a high definition format.
Be aware, if you want true high definition TV, you should not be looking at ED (Extended definition). Extended definition has less lines of resolution. Flat screen ED TV's can be found for cheap prices – so make sure to read the label if you are looking to buy a HD Plasma TV. True enthusiast will for sure want to take advantage of high definition, but if you just want a flat screen TV for a cheap price then the ED version is what you require.
If possible, try to look at the same TVs in different stores as different lighting conditions can affect your perception of certain Plasma TV models. I heard of a few consumers who go through a few plasmas, before realizing that they will not be satisfied until they pay the extra money to get a unit that is near the top of the class. After going through this site, we hope that you can make more of an informative decision on your new TV.
