Fujitsu P50XTA51 US Review (MRSP $6,499)
“Picture pops out of the screen” best describes this Fujitsu 50- inch plasma screen. The Fujitsu plasmavision P50XTA51 produces outstanding picture quality. The Fujitsu plasmavision P50XTA51 has a built-in HDTV tuner compared to the cheaper P50HHA40 US which has no HDTV tuner. The unit comes in a silver casing with side mounting speakers. The 50-inch screen is encased in an attractive rectangle styling. My only gripe is that I wish the casing was in black, but that may come in the later models.
The Fujitsu P50XTA51 has the following major specifications:
- Resolution of 1024 x 768
- 1.07 billion colors
- Contrast ratio of 3000:1
- Integrated NTSC, ATSC tuner
- Cable card slot
- HDMI, video, S-terminal and two component inputs
- Speakers 2 x 10W
- 3 year warranty
I would welcome to fine addition to any home. Besides having a silver casing as a negative, the price of this 50 inch is quite steep in comparison to others in the market. I tend to think that the premium for this television is for the outstanding 3 year warranty offered. Fujitsu must back up their quality to offer 3 years.
If the consumer has the funds to purchase this unit, they are buying one the best picture quality plasmas in the market. It would rival or exceed the picture quality of the Panasonic or Pioneer plasma models. It's just one reviewers opinion that you have to see them side to side. The performance of the picture is powered by Fujitsu's advanced video movement-II (AV-II) digital process. This unit comes out of the box, ready to view. Most plasmas TV's standard definition viewing is hard on the eyes, but Fujitsu has made this standard definition viewing easy to view. Cudos on Fujitsu on making a wonderful product.
