This 50” plasma is Panasonic's higher model version of the TH-50PX60U. The TH-50PX600U has the following features:
- 1366x768 resolution
- 3072 shades of gradation
- Nearly 29 billion colors
- Built-in NTSC/ATSC/QAM tuners
- Cable card slot
- HDMI inputs with HDAVI-Control
- Electronic Program guide
- PC input
The screen of the Panasonic TH-50PX600U is surrounded by a black border. The silver casing hides the speakers on the bottom of the screen. This plasma TV is due out in spring 2006. Be aware that the 2005 Panasonic models were hot commodities and took time to order, so it may take a little longer to order these models in your area.
The Panasonic plasma TV's are known for outstanding picture quality and great detail with different shades of black. If you were to spend the extra money and buy the TH-50PX600U over the TH-50PX60, you would get the extra PC Input, TV-Guide EPG and a cable card slot.
The TH-50PX600U does have more of an attractive presentation. The screen has a thicker black border and the silver Panasonic logo on the bottom of the picture. This TV is more pleasing to the eye than the Panasonic TH-50PX60U.Other Resources
