Panasonic TH-58PX600U Review
(MSRP $5,999.99)
Panasonic has made another stride to out do the competition by introducing the 58-inch plasma HD model, TH-58PX600U. Why did Panasonic put out a 58-inch version instead of a 60-inch version? My guess is that a 58-inch has a better pricing point and cost production. This Panasonic plasma TV gives great value for a person who is looking at a 65 inch, but can't justify the extra pricing that goes with the extra 7-inches.
The Panasonic TH-58PX600U has the following features:
- 1366 x 768 resolution
- 29 billion colors
- Contrast ratio of 10,000:1
- Integrated NTSC/ATSC/QAM tuner
- SD Memory card slot
- EZ Sync technology for single remote control TV operation
- 2 HDMI inputs.
The 58-inch model comes in a silver casing, with a thick black border/bezel surrounding the screen. The Panasonic TH-58PX600U has an attractive clean look with a rectangle shape. It would have been nice if the screen was surrounded in piano black, but the TH-58PX600U is still quite a view. Overall, the image quality, size of the screen would certainly impress any guest who comes to see it. The 58-inch plasma TV, Panasonic TH-58PX600U, provides a much better pricing point for people who don't want to pony up the huge increase to buy a 65 inch.
