Panasonic TH42PHD8UK Review
This is Panasonic's commercial 42-inch model plasma TV. The commercial version uses the same panel as the consumer version. For a consumer that already has a great stereo system and uses an external high definition tuner box, this is a cheaper alternative to buying a big screen commercial version of this TV. Basically, this 42-inch Panasonic TH42PHD8UK has no speakers (optional) and no built in turner.
The Panasonic TH42PHD8UK has the following key features:
- Resolution of 1024 x 768
- 3000:1 Contrast ratio
- 3620 billion displayable colors
- 2048 shades of gradation
- 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio
- Dual picture mode
- MACH Panel provides 15% brighter images
- Fan less quiet operation
As with the consumer version, this model produce great, clean distinctive pictures. The casing of the Panasonic TH42PHD8UK is a thin black bezel surrounding the screen. What makes this model so clean looking is there are no speakers attached to the screen. It looks like a huge widescreen monitor.
Kudos for Panasonic to provide alternative plasma screens to fit the consumer's needs. This model is very popular because of its quality in picture and price. Most consumer stores do not carry this model. If you have a chance to find a store that is displaying it, make sure you make some comparisons before jumping into the purchase.
