Hitachi 42HDT52 Review
The Hitachi 42 inch plasma screen TV has stunning, crisp images. The resolution is 1024 x 1024, which is higher than other 42” plasma TVs that offer 1024 x 768. This TV is more in the higher end stream with 2 HDMI inputs and a 40 Watt stereo system. These are impressive specifications indeed.
The Hitachi has a power swivel table stand. Is a very cool option that enables you to tilt the TV to your liking through a remote control. This unit comes with an HD tuner and is cable card ready.
The unit is built in a black casing with the speakers attached to the sides. It has a very clean distinctive look. Simple and elegant is how I would describe the make of this TV.
Recommendation
The Hitachi is not a mainstream model like the Panasonics or Toshibas, but is an excellent choice if you can afford it. Because of the higher cost of the unit, you receive all the bells and whistles such as 2 HDMI connection, resolution of 1024 x 1024 and automated swivel stand, to name a few.
I like the automated swivel stand, but in my mind, it's more moving parts that can get broken. Aside from that, this Hitachi 42DT52 will make your eyes very happy at an expensive price.
