a will be coveted by the consumers who the 1080p native resolution with 2 million colors. You pay what you get for the TV. This is one of the best picture quality 50inch plasmas out there, but it comes at a hefty price tag. Pioneer will be pushing the Pro-FHD1 with blu-ray disc player.

The Pioneer Prof-FHD1 has the following major specifications:

  • 1080p resolution
  • 1920 x 1080, 2.073,600 pixel
  • HDMI and DVI terminals
  • Contrast 3000:1
  • First surface pure color filter
  • Crystal emissive layer

Pioneer made this plasma, the Pro-FHD1, for the enthusiast who wants the best. The casing of the Pioneer Pro-FHD1 is nice and clean with a pure rectangle format, while the picture is surrounded piano black boarder. To distinguish the Pioneer Prof-FHD1 from the normal consumer models, the “Elite” wording is placed on the bottom of the screen. If you can't wait for the 1080p resolution monitors to come down in price, you'll just have to shell out for this beauty - just don't get upset when the price comes down in 2007 because of more production of 1080p TVs and the possible rolling out of the new technology SED-TVs. If you want a cheaper alternative to getting a 1080p, you may have to look at the Sony SXRD projection TV.

The Pioneer 50-inch Pro-FHD1 is definitely in an elite class of its own.
