Samsung FP-T5894W Review
Samsung has recently announced their new WIRELESS plasma TV's. The Samsung FP-5894W is the flagship 58-inch model. The ideas of wireless give a sense of a clean look that you can present on the wall. This means that you still have to find a wall to hide your power cable in the wall. It will be easier to install new units without fidgeting with cords to the TV.
What we like about the wireless TV is the wireless A/V center. The wireless box connects with the TV through 802.11n wireless standard with 150Mpbs. This reminds of the generation of Pioneer plasmas that had a separate box that was the media centre of the TV. One connection was needed to the Pioneer plasma to the media box, and all the inputs were connected to the box. I don't why companies don't follow that model but I think it is a nice clean way to connect your components.
The FP-T5894W main features are:
- 1080P resolution (1920x1080)
- FilterBright 2 plus technology
- 10:000:1 contrast ratio
- 3 HDMI 1.3 inputs
It has been yet tested to see if the quality and signal would satisfy consumers. Although we like the separate media centre, it is a little too pricey to have the wireless feature. You could use the extra money you saved on buying the wireless to have a professional hide the wires in the wall for you. This is the first generation wireless to be introduced. It will be a wait and see until we get more tests in.
